1           Introduction

At KulturCart Marketplace, we are committed to providing a positive platform that promotes multiculturalism, connecting customers to their native and foreign food, groceries, local products, and lifestyle in Germany. In order to maintain a safe, trustworthy, and successful online marketplace, it is important for all vendors to adhere to the KulturCart Marketplace Vendors Code of Conduct. This document outlines the expected behavior, responsibilities, and requirements for all vendors participating in the KulturCart Marketplace platform.

2           Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Vendors must comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations regarding the sale of products, taxation, consumer protection, and data privacy. This includes, but is not limited to, obtaining the necessary licenses and permits for their business operations, and ensuring that their products meet relevant safety standards.

3           Product Quality and Authenticity

Vendors are responsible for ensuring that their products are of high quality and correctly represented in their listings. They must accurately describe and represent their products, including details such as ingredients, origin, and expiration dates. All products must be authentic, and vendors must refrain from listing counterfeit or pirated items. The sale of illegal, hazardous, or restricted products is strictly prohibited.

4           Respectful and Professional Conduct

Vendors are expected to treat all customers, fellow vendors, and KulturCart Marketplace staff with respect and professionalism. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.

5           Accurate Representation of Business and Products

Vendors must provide accurate and truthful information about their business, including contact details, location, and product descriptions. Misrepresentation of products, services, or business operations is strictly prohibited.

6           Transparent Pricing and Payment

Vendors must clearly display prices for all products and services, and ensure that all fees and charges are transparent and easily understood by customers. Vendors must offer at least one of the KulturCart Marketplace approved payment methods: Stripe, PayPal, bank transfer, or cash payment.

7           Delivery and Shipping

Vendors must set up their delivery method according to the KulturCart Marketplace guide and use the KulturCart Marketplace approved delivery options, including courier service, in-store pickup, and the KulturCart Marketplace delivery boy system. Vendors must ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders, adhering to the guidelines and limitations of the delivery boy system.

8           Inventory and Order Management

Vendors must maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory information, using the provided KulturCart Marketplace admin tool for the store, delivery, and inventory management. Vendors are responsible for promptly processing and fulfilling orders, as well as handling any customer inquiries, issues, or returns.

9           Data Privacy and Security

Vendors must respect the privacy and security of customer data, and comply with all applicable data protection laws and regulations. Any unauthorized use, disclosure, or sale of customer information is strictly prohibited.

10       Environmental and Social Responsibility

Vendors are encouraged to adopt sustainable and socially responsible business practices, including minimizing waste, reducing their carbon footprint, and supporting fair labor practices.

11       Fair and Transparent Transactions

Vendors must commit to conducting transactions with integrity and transparency. This includes adhering to KulturCart's policies that prohibit direct transactions and circumventing the platform. All transactions involving customers who were initially introduced to the seller through KulturCart must be completed on the platform, ensuring a consistent experience for all parties involved.

12       Price Parity and Consistent Offers

Vendors are expected to maintain consistent pricing across all sales channels, including KulturCart, their webshops, and physical stores. Furthermore, promotions, discounts, or special offers must be made equally available to customers across all channels, promoting fair competition.

13       Protection of Customer Data

Vendors have a responsibility to protect customer privacy and must only use customer data for the purpose of fulfilling orders and providing customer service. Any misuse of customer data or attempts to target KulturCart customers for direct sales outside the platform is strictly prohibited.

14       Violations and Enforcement

Failure to comply with the KulturCart Marketplace Vendors Code of Conduct may result in penalties, including warnings, temporary or permanent suspension from the KulturCart Marketplace platform, and/or legal action. KulturCart Marketplace reserves the right to monitor and investigate vendor activities to ensure compliance with this Code of Conduct.

By selling on KulturCart Marketplace, vendors acknowledge and agree to adhere to this Code of Conduct in all their interactions on the platform. Together, we can create a thriving and inclusive marketplace that celebrates the diversity and richness of cultures in Germany.
