1           Introduction

KulturCart is committed to providing a platform for multicultural products in Germany that is inclusive and free from discrimination and hate speech. We understand that people have different beliefs, cultures, and backgrounds, and we respect all of them. We are dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion and fostering a culture of mutual respect, tolerance, and understanding among our users. We take this issue seriously and we have developed this anti-discrimination and hate speech policy to ensure that our platform remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone. This policy outlines our expectations for all users of the KulturCart platform and the actions we will take to enforce these expectations.

 

2           Policy Statement

KulturCart does not tolerate discrimination or hate speech of any kind on our platform. This includes discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic. We will take appropriate action against any user who engages in discriminatory behavior or hate speech.

 

3           Scope

This policy applies to all users of KulturCart, including vendors, customers, staff and any other individual or entity that interacts with our platform. This policy covers all forms of discrimination, hate speech, and offensive behavior that is directed towards another individual or group based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. This policy covers all activities related to KulturCart, including but not limited to sales, purchases, communications, and interactions between users.

 

4           Definitions

4.1          Discrimination

Discrimination is any unjust treatment of individuals based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other characteristic protected by law. 

Examples of discriminatory behavior include but are not limited to: 

  • Refusing to do business with a customer or vendor based on their protected characteristics. 
  • Making derogatory or offensive remarks on any part of the platform about someone's race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age. 
  • Creating a product listing that discriminates against a particular group of people, such as a product that is only available to a specific gender or race. 

4.2          Hate Speech

Hate speech refers to any speech or behavior that is intended to degrade, intimidate, promote, or incite violence, hatred, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any other characteristic protected by law. 

Examples of hate speech include but are not limited to: 

  • Using derogatory language or slurs to refer to a particular group of people. 
  • Making threats or encouraging violence against a particular group of people. 
  • Posting or sharing content that promotes hate or discrimination against a particular group of people. 

4.3          Offensive Behavior

KulturCart does not tolerate offensive behavior of any kind. Offensive behavior is defined as any conduct that is offensive, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate. This includes but is not limited to verbal or written comments, images, or gestures that are directed towards another individual or group based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. Hate speech or any offensive behavior is not allowed on our platform, whether it is explicit or implicit.

 

5           Our Expectations

We expect all users, customers and vendors on our platform to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner. Discrimination and hate speech are strictly prohibited. This means that you may not use our platform to: 

  • Discriminate against individuals or groups based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any other characteristic protected by law. 
  • Make derogatory or offensive comments about individuals or groups based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any other characteristic protected by law. 
  • Promote, support or incite violence, hatred, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any other characteristic protected by law. 
  • Display or use of symbols or imagery associated with discrimination or hate speech. 
  • Retaliation against an individual who reports discrimination or hate speech. 

 

6           Consequences of Violating Our Policy

Any violation of our Anti-Discrimination and Hate Speech Policy will result in immediate action by our team. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may take any of the following actions: 

  • Warning: In some cases, we may issue a warning to the offending party, informing them of the violation and our expectations for behavior on our platform. 
  • Suspension: For more severe violations, we may suspend the offending party's account for a period of time. During this time, the party will not be able to use our platform. 
  • Termination: In the most severe cases, we may terminate the offending party's account permanently. This means that the party will no longer be able to use our platform. 
  • In addition to these consequences, we may also take legal action against any individual or group that violates our Anti-Discrimination and Hate Speech Policy. We take discrimination and hate speech very seriously, and we will not hesitate to pursue legal action against anyone who violates our policies.

 

7           Reporting Discrimination, Hate Speech or Offensive Behavior

All reports will be investigated promptly, and appropriate actions will be taken to address the situation. If you experience or witness any discrimination, hate speech or offensive behavior on our platform, we encourage you to report it immediately. You can do this by contacting our customer support team through the app or website. Please provide as much detail as possible, including any screenshots or other evidence you may have.

 

8           Education and Training

We are committed to providing education and training to our users on the importance of diversity, inclusion, and respect. We will offer resources and training materials to our vendors and delivery partners on how to prevent discrimination and hate speech on our platform.

 

9           Review and Update of the Policy
